ABOUT THE HARRY STOUT FOUNDATION

The sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one is one of life’s most challenging hurdles, especially when it is a child. In the fall of 2004, the Stout family and friends came face to face with this reality when their son, brother and friend Harry collapsed and never regained consciousness. Although the cause of death was never established, we were told that Harry had an enlarged heart.

No surprise.

The always smiling, always laughing 12-year old who cared so deeply for people made quite an impression before he left us and his love for life, kindness and compassion could be seen in so many ways. At age nine, Harry bought shoes with his own money and anonymously placed into the locker of a classmate whose family was struggling financially. He stood up for the underdog, befriended the unpopular and shared his contagious smile with anyone and everyone. In just 12 years, Harry Stout made a positive difference in people’s lives and the effort of the Harry Stout Foundation is to continue what he started.

Our board members are non-compensated and 100% of the funds we raise go directly to HSF causes. Our focus is on helping children of all ages from scholarships to shoes. Through various established organizations we are able to put our financial resources to work in making a positive change in the lives of many.

Harry wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
