Time to Eat at Harry Fest 19!
Once again, food will be one of the main attractions at Harry Fest 19, the day of appreciation that raises funds for Harry’s Foundation on Saturday May 21st at Bittersweet Ski resort in Otsego. The slogan, “Eat, Drink and be Harry” is a glowing reflection of the foundation’s namesake, Harry Stout who loved having a great time with family and friends. Lots of great food was a big part of that equation.
“The food tent is a busy place at Harry Fest and for a good reason” said Food Coordinator Russ Bronson. “Each year we offer up some of the best local foods at family friendly prices. I have never been to a festival or event where there is so much good food that is priced so attractively.”
From noon until early evening, volunteers will be grilling and serving up Harding’s of Plainwell Bratwurst, Papa’s Italian Sausage, Sobie Meats Hot Dogs, Cheeseburgers, Popcorn, Vegetarian Items, Desserts, ice cold Pepsi products and everyone’s favorite, Plainwell Ice Cream.
“Last year we were fortunate to have Quantum Foods provide us with BBQ Ribs through our foundation friend Paul Murray” Bronson added. “They sold out before 5:00 PM! We are looking forward to offering them up again this year along with all the other fabulous foods that make attending Harry Fest so enjoyable.”
Not only is the food one of the tastiest and best food values anywhere, 100% of food sales go to the foundation’s causes which impact children and young adults in south west Michigan.
Harry Stout was a 12-year old middle school student at Plainwell when he collapsed and never regained consciousness. The cause of his passing remains unknown but the legacy he created with his broad smile, kind heart and appreciation for the things he had lives on and is now touching the lives of many.
In addition to the amazing food, Harry Fest will also feature live music from noon to 8:00 PM, silent auction, face painting, the fabulous Harry Fest Midway, volleyball, and many other attractions for people of all ages. There is no admission cost to attend Harry Fest. Donations, food sales, tee shirt sales and midway bracelets can be purchased and 100% of the purchase goes to HF.
